Kingly! When they were born I felt so blessed and full of love and hope, as we crossed 7 seas back to the place of MY birth; that hope would some days be replaced with dread and fear. In Africa and the Middle East they felt secure and at peace, surrounded by love from their father and I. As they grew from boys to men in the land of captivity, they just felt surrounded! They have taught me so much about life, at 19, 21 and 22. Everyday is filled with the joys and pains of their love, reminders to my husband-friend and I that we did something’s right! Born out of pure love, and raised on a diet of veganism and activism; they are they are the sum total of perfection and imperfection simultaneously. Most of all they are mine! Shiny black diamonds that the village has worked overtime to secure, and surround in love. Whether married or divorced we must get over OURselves for the sake of OUR seed!
