Mental MORNINGS
It feels so good to finally take a day off where I don't feel drained or tired. I'm actually feeling more in control lately than I have in a while. I decided to take my power back from a few people, the first being me. While it's a daily struggle to battle the over-thinker and the negative self talker, I seemed to have overpowered them for now. Mental wellness is a continuous journey to not get caught in what I categorize as the "slide", you know the moment when you feel exhausted, overwhelmed, anxious, extreme, and insufficient simultaneously? No? Well, I'm happy for you, and it is my hope that you never do.
Chances are if you are a mom you most likely have, are currently, or will in the future feel like someone pulled the plug out of your battery yet you're still required to operate. I find that when we are in power struggles with ourselves, we are most vulnerable dare I say almost powerless to fight the control of other people and other things for various reasons. This is when we enter into heavily Co-Dependant RElationships: unhealthy romantically or sexually, shopping excessively, drinking excessively, smoking excessively, and other coping mechanisms that we use.....
After three years of one family Crisis after another, I have learned ed to protect my energy at ALL cost! I am surprised some days, that I AM still standing!
