Today was arguably one of the best days of my entire life...I get to love even more to experience love in the extension of my DNA, my heartbeat is now moving around in my SUNS sun...

Two Fridays ago I woke up to a text " the baby is almost here"! With a major event looming the next day. I threw on my clothes because I was initially getting ready for work, shouted a voice text into my phone to my manager "baby's coming, I'll be late today"; preceded out of the door to Target...nope too early Walmart here I come.

Forty-five minutes and baby bags later I arrive at Emory's Maternity Ward at 8:00 a.m., and at 8:08 this bundle of joy appears with the lungs, life, and energy that says I AM HERE for a PURPOSE! Tears so many tears...emotions flood me as I am immediately reflecting on his dad's delivery... Outside we had a tearful exchange, my 23-year-old man-child has joined the fraternal order of fatherhood.

As mothers, we witness the births and rebirths of our children; it is never easy but it is imminent!
We are in it to win it! Oh, to witness this fourth generation of my family come forth was nothing short of amazing, at just two hours old you see can see how clearly Sage is paying attention to me as I whisper my vows to him. I got chills as he looked at me with my father's grey eyes. At 1 day old he got to meet his Great-Grandma Kay, and the bottom right pic is me rocking him to sleep on day 4, and bottom left a pic of his dad at four days old, I  AM  IN  LOVE!!!! Thank you to my ancestors for this gift, Ase! A very special thank you to his parents for this gift, his mother grew him so well he was born a healthy 8 lbs, 3 ounces and 21 inches of love! So much to celebrate on Thanksgiving!
